In April the NetCDA partners from the UNU Bonn (UNU-EHS & UNU-ViE) had the pleasure of hosting a series of meetings and workshops with colleagues from WASCAL GSPTogo. The research of the WASCAL doctoral students at the University in Lomé is focussed on Climate Change and Disaster Risks Management. While Deputy Director Prof. Komi Begedou joined in person in Bonn, Director Prof. Komi Agboka participated online for a highly engaging and productive exchange.

Dr. Yvonne Walz, Dr. Emmanuel Cheo and Ms. Sally Janzen introduced UNU Bonn’s work through presentations across departments and connected the visiting colleagues with relevant experts. During discussions with NetCDA funders, potential future partners, and experienced WASCAL colleagues the guests from Lomé presented WASCAL Togo’s research profile which led to the outlining of first steps and the consolidation of ideas for future collaboration.
A big thank you to everyone involved for the open exchange and collaborative spirit. The BMFTR funded NetCDA project with its headquarters at Würzburg University, and project partner UNU Bonn are looking forward to the continuation of strengthening this partnership during the next phase of the NetCDA project and beyond.
